The Prix Ars Electronica festival is being held annually since 1987 and is one of the most important yearly prizes in the field of electronic and interactive art, computer animation, digital culture and music. In 2015, almost 3000 entries from 75 countries were submitted for prize considerations. Only six of those were awarded with the the highest prize – the Golden Nica. The categories were (and usually are) u19, Hybrid Art, Digital Music & Sound Art, Computer Animation / Film / VFX, Visionary Pioneers of Media Art and the next idea.

In 2014, Remo Rauscher and myself did the visuals for the gala night, in which the awards were given to the winners after showing their works. Due to the fact that Remo took some time off in 2015, I did them by myself this year.
